Sushido is a fast paced action/arcade game about a cat catching fishes, turning them into sushi, and serving them.
Originally made for the Indies Vs Gamers Jam (2nd place) and GMCJam 20 (1st place + best presentation) simultaneously, Sushido has been played over 70,000 times and is one of the highest rated/featured games on GameJolt. Youtubers like Pewdiepie and Markiplier have played the game.
I'm currently developing Sushido into a full-fledged cross-platform (mobile/PC) game, with a team of 2 artists and a composer.
As the game designer for the game, I am responsible for designing and fine-tuning the various systems in the game to ensure they all work well together, maintain difficulty curves and ensure replayability. I am also responsible for all design documentation to convey to artists accordingly, as well as working to ensure a well-balanced in-game economy for the final product. A current challenge is to translate the PC-specific controls into mobile without the use of an onscreen gamepad.
As the sole programmer of the game, I am responsible for writing the entire code for the game in GameMaker:Studio, in GML.
